When Jeff was younger he had taken some acting classes, now it was the time to use the skills he had learned from them.
When Chloe -- still in Jeff's body -- asked him "Now can you please tell me what's going on?" he just started crying, and with a bit of help from his new female hormones, tears were soon flowing from his cheeks.
He then started lying, "I'm so sorry, I don't know what's going on. I don't think can help you. Sorry for ruining your life."
The angry look on Chloe's face quickly faded. Realising he had nothing to do with what happened, she sat down besides Jeff. She gently rubbed his back to calm him down, and to Jeff, who had gotten a little carried away in his role, actually found it very comforting.
