The craggy grey cliff dropped steeply towards the sea where white foam crashed against rock. The salty air was fresh and pleased the wolf as he walked along the ridge. Ahead of him, built precariously onto an overhanging ledge was a great nest from which a huge golden eagle had just departed. I wonder what that is, thought the hungry wolf.
Caleb put his paws on the nest's rim and peeked over the edge. Four large white eggs lay in a bed of soft feathers, each egg the size of a baseball. The curious wolf looked up and around, making sure the eagle was gone, before he quickly pulled the rest of his body over the edge and hopped inside. Mmm, I haven't had eggs in a while, Caleb thought licking his lips, before opening his maw wide and biting down on one.
His teeth met the strong shell but the shell did not break. Well this isn't good, the wolf thought, rather miffed. Once again he tried to bite a different egg open but the shell was too tough for even his mighty teeth. But the wolf was determined and thought, I'm gonna eat you, one way or another!
He took the entire egg into his mouth and bit down hard, but just then the cry of the eagle signaled in the distance. Caleb, startled by the sudden sound, accidentally pushed the egg in deeper than anticipated and the egg stuck in his throat. In a sudden panick, he swallowed, and sure enough the entire egg slowly - but successfully - went down the wolf's throat. Inhaling sharply after the great egg finally entered his stomach, the wolf curled his lips and looked at the next egg. So that's how I'll do it.
He took the second orb into between his jaws, and much like the first one, managed to swallow it. As the second big bulge slowly went down his throat, the mother eagle must have noticed the intruding wolf from afar and had begun to screech and fly towards the direction of her nest. Better hurry...eagles have talons and talons rip flesh.
Caleb picked up the third into his mouth and looked hungrily at the fourth and final egg. It would be a shame to leave it but no where else to carry it... and just then a lewd thought entered the wolf's mind. He raised his tail quickly and carefully positioned his hindquarters. He sat down, right on top of the egg, and beared down his entire body's weight on it. At first nothing happened but soon the flesh of his nether hole began to widen, over top the slick white orb. It was going to be a tight fit, the wolf knew, but he should just be able to... and in the egg popped! The wolf stood with satisfied grin, still holding the remaining egg between his jaws, and he hopped the rim of the nest to safety just in the nick of time. The mother eagle soared into the nest, claws first, but missed the wolf by a tail.
Caleb happily ran to safety along a sandy path that wound its way down the cliff and paused inside a little cave. He pushed the egg he was holding down his throat, and the last bulge disappeared into the wolf. His belly was nicely rounded from the meal of three eggs and his butt was a little sore from the one that had gone into it as well. Yet, he couldn't help but still feel a bit hungry, as he had only really swallowed his meal without getting any of the pleasures of taste from it.
The wolf decided what he would do. He would...
