After a week of working with Dr. Paul, Madison got the routine down. It really was a lot of grunt work, but he had warned her about that side of the job before she took it, plus he was really appreciative for it, she almost wanted to remind him that she was getting paid for it, he was being so friendly. But, he seemed to treat most everyone with a certain level of respect. Madison saw how the graduate student who was his ta, Rachel, assistant and him got along, they had a great rapport, so Madison suspected that he was just a really good boss.
Another thing that Madison hadn't suspected was the amount of food in the common area of the philosophy department. It always seemed that some professor or secretary would bring in bagels, donuts or a home made pastry for the staff. Madison noticed that she was eating this food more often than not, given that she was a college student and it was hard to pass up free anything. She just told herself that she needed to monitor her intake, since she didn't want to gain the dreaded Freshman 15.
