You stand across the street from the day-care building. You know the risks of what you are about to do, but you need the money, and this is the only way. You sigh as you step off the crub and walk across the street. Opening the large glass doors you walk in looking at a woman across the counter. "What are you here for?" She grumbles.
"Uhh... Sorry.. I looking for a job.."
She looks up from her computer "Employee or toy?"
"....Toy"
Ever sense humanity accomplished the wonder of shrinking, new ideas came about on how to use it. One of the new, more promising fields was being a toy; One would be hired, shrunk down, and played with by children, then they would be grown, and payed. It seemed simple enough. But the kids weren't always nice and kind, but it payed well, so the desperate did the job.
"We have an opening on floor 3."
"Uhm..Thats perfect. Do you have Life?"
Insurance. You know you need it, there's a 24% death rate among human toys, you need the safety.
"Of course. You will be paid 20 an hour."
"Okay."
"Sign this and head upstairs."
You sign a paper saying that you aren't responsible for what the kids do to you. Unless they kill you. The thought sudders through you. You walk over and open the elevator, pressing floor 3.
