It was a beautiful and seemingly ordinary day in New Domino City. Unnoticed by anyone in the city, there was a small flash of light in the sky that soon resolved into a Duel Monster card. Specifically, an otherwise blank spell card, which floated slowly down through the air until it landed on the ground.

The card sat there, completely unnoticed, until someone came along and picked it up.
