You started to wake up. Completely forgetting what had just happened. “Just a dream” you thought, until you heard a familiar voice

“Glad to see you’re awake”

You instantly shoot awake and realize that it wasn’t just a dream. You’re no longer in the cold forest, you’re instead in a room with a nice warm fire. But more specifically, you’re sitting on the palm of Belle’s hand!

“You had me worried there for a bit. But a little warmth from the fire seems to have done the trick”

“Uh… yeah. It has” you say, staring up at the giant woman’s face, still coming to terms with the situation

“I’m Belle, what would your name be?”

“Oh, I’m ____”

“A pleasure to meet you” she says, smiling, before getting a more puzzling look on her face “You’re not from around here are you?”

“Um, no, I’m not. How could you tell?”

“I’ve seen some pretty strange things in this castle. Small people is certainly a new one, also your strange clothes. I’ve never seen someone dress like that before”

She gestures to your outfit, a tshirt and jeans. Yeah, pretty odd for 18th century France. They’re also completely soaked due to being out in the snow

“But there will be time to talk about that later. Let’s get you out of those wet clothes before you catch cold”
