“We play a game?” Kiara finished. “Sure I said, excitedly. “What are we gonna play?” I asked the young lion cub. “We’re gonna play Cat and Mouse.” Kiara said. “C-cat and mouse?” I stuttered. Kiara noticed that I was trembling. “Are you ok little mousey?” Kiara asked. “Yeah, anyway, what happens if I lose the game?” I asked, nervously. “The cat eats the mouse.” “It’s just the Circle of Life.” Kiara said. Kiara said Cat and Mouse is similar to Hide and Seek, and you just need to stay hidden, because the seeker is clever. Kiara agreed to give me a head start. I saw a little hole in the tree and hid there. “Ready or not, here I come!” Kiara said. Kiara noticed the tree and said “Hmm, I wonder if the little mousey is hiding here.” Kiara blows into the hole in the tree and sends me flying up and Kiara grabs me. “H-Hey!” “No fair!” I complained. “I told you the cat was clever.” Kiara said slyly. Kiara raises me above her face and said “I hope you have fun.” She opens her mouth and drops me into the young lion cub’s open jaws and as soon as I entered, she took a big breath and swallowed her little mousey friend down, and carefully and gently traced the little bulge down the young lioness’s throat and into the proud lioness’s belly. Kiara said quietly “I hope I didn’t hurt the little mousey.” “Are you alright, little mousey?” “Yeah, I”m okay.” I replied. “I didn’t hurt you did I?” Kiara asked worriedly. “No, you didn’t.” I responded. “I’ll stay in your belly until morning, so you won’t feel alone.” I negotiated. “Yay!” Kiara yelled excitedly. The young lioness ran towards Pride Rock because it was getting close to sundown. Later that night, all the young lioness could think about was me, but something else entered the young lion cub’s mind, an idea that made her lick her chops, but she knew that he was a friend, not a meal, right?
