With a sigh, Tessa began trudging through the forest, looking for a way back to her new neighborhood. She couldn't believe she had gotten lost. She was new to the town, but for a 16-year old to have such lousy directional skills was embarrassing.
Tessa had just recently moved with her parents to a new suburb, and although she had a tough time making friends, she had to admit it was nice. It was much like her old home, only she didn't know anyone. She was hoping that soon she would get to know everyone in town and make friends. But now, after just a week of living in the neighborhood, she had wandered into the dense forest, thinking it would be a shortcut home. But now she was walking aimlessly through the trees.
