This choice: The stash found its way into the water supply! Everyone has drank the mixture! • Go Back... While Jack was wandering around the mess hall finding test subjects for her "prank", Kenneth Donnelly and Gabriella Daniels were scouring around the engine room looking for parts.
"This is ridiculous," Kenneth grumbled, collecting armfuls of tubing. "Our filter systems work fine, they don't need to be upgraded!"
"Cleaner air and water isn't going to kill you, Kenneth," Gabriella reminded him. "Besides, can you really blame a Quarian for wanting the air and water on the ship to be disease free? If Tali's going off fighting the Collectors we can't keep giving her fevers."
"I'm still doing this under protest," Kenneth complained, heading into Jack's section of the ship to get some loose piping he knew was located there. "I'm an engineer, I work on the engines! If I want to work on filtration I'd be a...filtrationeer or something..."
"Just hurry and find the things we need, okay?" Gabriella said in an annoyed tone. "I have all the equipment I need but...Kenneth, did you see the purifiers anywhere?"
"The what?"
"Purifiers, remember we got them on Illium? Mixes into water and air and removes all pollutants and disease carrying microbes?"
Kenneth trailed off, wracking his brain to remember where he left them. As he got up from next to Jack's sleeping spot, he spotted a little hiding spot, one that would have been blocked from view if he looked in from around the corner. Digging his way through the small pile of junk, Kenneth spotted a large bag filled with blue powder.
"Got it!" Kenneth called out, stuffing the baggie into his stack of objects. "Jack was hiding it back here, and I'd rather not find out why."
"Fair enough," Gabriella said with a shrug. "Hurry up, we gotta get that powder into the filter before it cycles again."
"I'm coming, I'm coming!" The two engineers gathered all their things and made their way to the elevator, just as Jack was passing the other way at a brisk pace.
"Hey Jack, can you not hide-" Kenneth began, but was cut off when Jack flipped him the bird and kept walking. Rolling his eyes, he and Gabriella entered the elevator just as Jack turned the corner.
"AAAAGH!"
Jack picked up a crate with her biotic powers and smashed it into the wall to vent her frustrations. She was so close...SO CLOSE...to getting back at that goddamned cheerleader, and she went and put Mordin's pill in the wrong goddamned plate!
It was a small comfort that Garrus spotted the pill before he ate, since Jack didn't want to fatten up another crew member, but it still meant Miranda got a fresh plate and took it to her quarters to be safe, citing concerns about "someone's medication being in the food", meaning the oh so perfect cheerleader wouldn't risk eating in public for the next week, if she was lucky!
Jack continued to vent her frustrations by beating the crap out of more storage crates until she was burned out, her mind left to stew on all the things she'd do to that stupid Cerberus flunkie when she got the chance. Left utterly exhausted by her explosion of rage, Jack closed her eyes and fell asleep dreaming of vengeance...
***
As the day shift on the Normandy took over, Jack at last stirred from her sleep, her stomach growling at her for subsistence. Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, Jack got unsteadily to her feet, rubbing a sore spot in her neck from falling asleep propped against a wall. Jack wondered if she could sneak those pills into Miranda's breakfast as she went for the elevator before she heard the unwelcome sound of Gabriella Daniels coming up behind her.
"Hey, Jack, you got a minute?"
Jack spun around to tell her to fuck off, but was stunned into silence at the sight of the engineer, who seemed to have grown a prominent belly since Jack flipped her friend the bird last night! Jack's eyes flickered from the gut hanging in front of her to Gabriella's plush hips and plump thighs, not unlike what Shepard grew when Jack tested her powder the previous night. Daniels didn't seem to notice and kept on going like nothing was wrong.
"Hey, Kenneth said you were hiding his things last night," she explained.
"Wh-what things?" Jack asked, shocked into politeness at the sight of the now portly engineer.
"We had a purifier compound we needed to introduce into the air and water filters, Kenneth said he found it in your stash," Daniels suggested accusingly.
"Ah...it was a blue powder in a bag wasn't it?" Jack said, though she was pretty sure she knew the answer.
"Yeah, it's the stuff we circulated into the air and water," Daniels said, lifting a bottle of water to her lips. As she took a long swill of water, Jack opened her mouth to speak but was again stunned to silence as the engineer began to grow in front of her eyes, her growing gut pushing her shirt up and her big butt straining the confines of her pants. Watching Gabriella's thighs puff up, Jack couldn't help but guess that the water had pushed her to fifty pounds above her old weight, maybe even more. "Ahh," Daniels sighed, smacking her lips in satisfaction before turning back to Jack expectantly, her face wider then before and joined by a new double chin.
"Er, yeah," Jack said, easily putting two and two together at this point and not willing to broadcast the little mix-up. "Sorry about that..."
Daniels looked at Jack suspiciously, not used to her caving so fast on an argument but deciding to go with the flow. "Just try not to do anything weird with the equipment, okay? I get that Kenneth can be an ass sometimes, but don't hurt the rest of the crew just to get to him, okay?" Seemingly satisfied, Daniels waddled back towards the engine compartment to leave Jack to stew in her thoughts.
So apparently the powder had gotten into the filter system, and the water was going to fatten everyone up. Even the food cooked with water from the Normandy's water supply would be effected like Shepard's coffee was.
"I'm in so much shit right now," Jack said forlornly, only for her stomach to growl angrily at her. It was then she realized that Shepard and Daniels didn't notice that they had fattened up from Mordin's powder and ran to a nearby coolant tank, polished so that she could see a reflection in it.
She didn't recognize the girl staring back at her for a moment. For starters, she had tits; not large ones mind you, but she was no longer flat-chested, and she definitely wasn't flat-stomached either. Looking down, Jack grabbed a handful of belly fat and shook it gently, letting her flab wobble like jell-o across her legs and lower body.
"Why the hell am I fat now!?" Jack snapped at her reflection. "I didn't even drink the powder! Did Mordin freakin' make it airborne!?" Storming towards the elevator, trying to ignore her heavier footfalls, Jack tried to plan out her next move, idly weighing her belly in her hands. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
