It comes as no surprise that with the billions upon billions of credits Doctor Liara T'soni had accumulated, comes much finer cuisine, many more amenities, and the best crew, including chefs, money could buy. Liara had picked up on Earth's culinary delights after the end of the war, mostly because she enjoyed much of it Shepard, right before, um, *ahem*, 'embracing eternity.' *wink* Fine steaks, seafood, desserts and wines would always find themselves in the kitchen, and the tummy of the Shadow Broker.
So it also comes as no surprise that said tummy is not the size it used to be.
"Goddess, would you just fasten already?"
Our blue-skinned beauty is just now starting to realize this.
"Oh, you insufferable- It wasn't this hard to clasp this jacket yesterday! Was it?" Liara spoke to no one in particular. "I would say these shrunk in the wash, but I haven't washed this..." What she didn't realize, or, rather, what she didn't WANT to realize, was that her jacket was the same size, and it fit her perfectly; about 10 pounds ago.
Pushing itself out from Liara's torso was a small little pooch of a tummy, snug as a bug in her already skintight suit. It was just big enough, however, that her jacket didn't want to comply. It was her favorite one too.
"Fine, I'll go without it" Liara huffed as she walked out of her closet into her quarters. To say it was a huge bedroom would be underselling it. It was ENOURMOUS! A king sized bed, a huge couch and gigantic, top-of-the-line television, A FRIGGIN' HOT TUB, and those are just the MODEST things in there. Not to mention the small pantry and refridgerator for her 'light snacks', consisting of chips and candy of all sorts, crackers and entire sticks of salami, just to name a few.
Is it really any wonder she has gained weight?
Stepping out of her quarters and into the ops center, Liara noticed her breakfast waiting for her on her desk, like it always was. Her assistant, an Asari named Dahlia, was always punctual when it came to her meals, and she was a nice youngling; only 87 years old. She was a little on the chubby side, though, but Liara figured they could get her on a nice weight loss regimen.
Liara sat herself down at her desk, her small pooch pushing the white and blue outfit to it's limit, unbeknownst to it's owner. Liara sat herself up to her computer monitor, checking the influx of emails from her associates. As she opened up the first one, however, a familiar clicking of footsteps approached her. Looking past the monitor, Liara saw the pudgy form of Dahlia walking towards her, carrying a medium-sized box.
"My apologies, Miss T'soni," she started in her always timid voice, "but I forgot to bring this to you, it just came in this morning, and the courier said it was extremely important."
"You made sure and had it scanned, correct?"
"Of course, Ma'am," Dahlia continued, bowing her head slightly, "negative on explosives, dangerous chemicals, poisons, dangerous creatures and superweapons."
Liara cocked a brow at her assistant.
"A-And, very small lifeforms here to assassinate you!" Dahlia squeaked swiftly. When the Shadow Broker gave her that look, she was telling Dahlia she wasn't on her A-game; she got that look a lot, and learned to fear it.
"Alright," Liara chuckled, amused at her assistant's reaction, "Thank you, Dahlia." Liara smiled as Dahlia bowed her head and turned to leave. Liara's eyes lay planted on the rear of her assistant, the skintight black uniform her staff wore leaving nothing to the imagination. Each cheek seemed to be made of Jell-O, an Earthly delicacy, and every step she took shook and jiggled them like an earthquake was happening.
'I'm going to get her in shape one of these days,' Liara thought to herself, unaware how hypocritical she was being. She pondered on how she was going to get her assistant fit, all the while, the image of her jiggling, plump rear end in her mind. Her daydreaming and scheming were cut short when she remembered the package she was just given. She reached across her desk to pick up the small object, a cuboidal piece of metal, about a cubic foot in size. A small button was on the side, perfectly clean, except for a small smudge. 'My security team already opened it, ' she thought, 'at least I know I won't blow up when I open it.' She pushed her monitor slightly out of the way and set the box down. A tentative blue finger brushed over the button. 'It could still be a bomb, designed to go of when my fingerprint presses the button, but there wasn't any explosives...'
"Well, Goddess be with me." Liara quickly pressed the button, and watched as four triangular flaps lifted up and folded to the side, leaving the contents of the package open to the world. She peered inside, shocked to find it was...
