So now Liara is all grown up, well just to make it easier for her to gain weight let us assume that the war against the Reapers is already over before she packs on the 1st pound and ended in Reaper defeat, besides nobody likes the ending of Mass Effect 3.
Moving on to something that will... not... be terrible, there are 2 ways in which you have the option to play this out.
Option 1, Simple Gluttony/overeating. Whether deliberately or not, Liara gets fat the old fashioned way... for the most commonly cited reason, eating too much and being lazy...
Options 2 &3 : Romance. The weight gain in this is definitely deliberate, the only question is. Is Liara making herself fat, or is her lover making her fat?
Pick option 2 for her lover to be a Shepard (Male or Female)
Pick option 3 for her lover to be Javik. The Last Prothean. There's plenty of T'sovik art out there.
If you ask me I lean towards Javik. But I won't stop you from picking Shepard if you want to.
