Raven furrowed her brow and gazed sternly at the fortress in the distance. "They have taken her there. I am sure of it." Kara could not recall when she last saw Raven so unquestionably certain, and began to think the nightelf might have been right.
"Well then, we have to stop them! We have to rescue her before they do who knows what!"
Moving as quickly as they could, the duo continued up the hill's winding path onto the adjacent mountain. The two knew they were getting close when, after traveling some distance, they heard the sound of heavy chains and the deep meaningless muttering that could only have come from a band of orcs. Quickly, the two dashed behind some rocks, out of the monstrous humanoids' sight.
"I don't think they saw us..." Kara whispered silently while Raven glanced intensely at their adversaries. "This just looks like a scouting party. I count three of them. We have the element of surprise, and might be able to take them if you want to risk it." Raven said to her comerade quietly.
Kara considered their options carefully, as she didn't want to wastefully risk their lives in addition to their captured friends'.
