"I know, we can play hide and seek!" Annie exclaims excitedly.
"Okay! I like hide and seek," Billy says.
"Here's how we're gonna play. Because the doll girl is so small, she's gonna hide and we're both gonna look for her. Whoever finds her first wins!" Annie says.
"That sounds fun," Billy agrees.
"Okay. I'm gonna put you down now and we'll both cover our eyes and count to ten. You have to hide in this room," Annie explains. You're not sure how you feel about this. On the one hand, keeping these titanic toddlers happy is definitely important, but a competition can lead to hurt feelings and hurt feelings can lead to dangerous outbursts. You don't have time to finish the thought, as Annie sets you down on the floor and covers her eyes with her hands.
"One," Annie counts.
"Wait I wasn't ready!" Billy exclaims, hastily covering his eyes.
"Okay go ahead."
"Two," Annie says.
"No you gotta start over again!" Billy says.
As they argue, you weigh your options.
