"Yeah.. so, your mom gave it to me. She thought you'd never use it. So... here" he handed the dictaphone back to Angie.
"Ugh, my mom is always trying to get rid of my stuff. Well, thanks anyway. I found it in the mailbox and I don't know who it's from... Anyway I'd better get my homework started, we got a lot of it today. I'll see you around, Danny."
Angie walked back to her house leaving Danny standing in the front yard. Was that the right thing to do? he thought, before walking back home.
Angie walked into her room and opened up her backpack and sat at her desk staring at her homework. She was very distracted. Danny had been so unsure about returning the dictaphone to her. Had he used it? Why was he so attached? She put her pencil down and grabbed the dictaphone. She hit the repeat button and heard Danny's voice say something about Angie not being sad anymore. She thought to herself. It was very strange that she had gone from very depressed to very happy in only a few seconds, was this responsible for that? She brought it close to her moth, pressed the record button, and said, "My carpet is black." she could her a small popping noise around the room. the carpets suddenly shifted from white to black. "Oh my God! No way!" She knelt down and inspected it. it was real. Well, what now? She thought.
