Agent Jackie Smith kept her cool as she walked towards the director's office, practically bursting with excitement on the inside. At just twenty-one-years old, Jackie was the youngest field agent in the agency, and as such, didn't get much of a chance to show her worth in the field.
Until today, when Director Margot Jones XIII called her into her office for a special assignment.
Jackie took a deep breath as she knocked on the door, wiping the sweat from her pale skin and removing her red hair out of the way of her green eyes.
"Come in, Jackie." A voice from the other side called out, allowing the young woman in as she walked through the door and closed it behind her.
Standing at a mahogany desk in front of her stood a woman in her fifties with graying black hair, tan skin and blue eyes.
"Have a seat, Jackie." Margot said. As the young agent did so, the woman cleared her throat and continued, "As you are no doubt aware, for the past six months, this agency has been tracking down a mysterious and elusive kidnapper."
"I do, Director Jones." Jackie replied. "I read the files. We have no motive, no clues. We don't even have an idea what the kidnapper looks like; whether they're a man or a woman. All we do know is that the victims were girls from ages zero to four."
"And that he/she only strikes at orphanages, so as to not draw too much suspicion." Margot added with a nod. "Our boys managed to narrow down their next target to Mary's Home for Little Lambs; the last orphanage in the state of Minnesota before they move on to the next state and start over."
"And you want me to go undercover as an orphanage worker to see if I can find anything about them and bring him/her to justice?" Jackie asked, fighting back an excited squeak.
"Not... Exactly." Margot explained, awkwardly rubbing the back over her neck. "You will be sent in with a tracker so that we'll finally be able to catch this sick freak, but..."
"'But' what?" Jackie asked in confusion.
"Well," Margot continued, "as you are also aware, we have in our possession Dr. Heller's Corporal Morpher. And, to make a long story short, we'll be using it on you to disguise you as..."
