This choice: "Sorry, sugarcube,,, but I don't feel the same way." • Go Back... Applejack softly rubs her arm again and looks away as she just realizes what you've been trying to say. Touched, she is, but she just can't say what she needs to.
"Ah appreciative ya comin' up to me like dat, sugarcube, but... I just don't feel the same way, (your name)."
Internally, this sentence hit you hard. You try not to look dazed by her remark.
"Oh, well, that's alright, Applejack," you try to say without the strain or slowness. "I just needed to get that off my chest. At least you were honest."
Her mood lightened a bit, but still felt horrible for rejecting you like that. "Uh, (your name), look. Yere an okay guy, but Ah never though o ya as a romantic relation. Maybe its best ya find somepony else."
What she just said hit you, bad. You just confessed and she plain out just says no. Nothing to do now.
"Well, that's fine, Applejack. Maybe I should go back to watching Applebloom. She went to get her friends for... something."
You walk away from the orchard, now showing your emotion without having Applejack see. Nonetheless, she saw you walk away with some regret, and is even shocked to see the tear drop falling down from your concealed face from your hair. Once you were out of view back at her house, you wipe off the tears coming down your face. You haven't cried since Gilda punched your face in the 6th grade.
Anyway, you decides to text the other ponies that you'll help them in asap when done with each other, whoever's closest. And once again, another bundle of texts.
Rainbow Dash: Well, alright. I can wait.
Pinkie: Yay! You'll really LOVE this recipe!
Rarity: Why, thank you, (your name). I hope to meet you soon.
Twilight: Okay... I'll see you then, (your name), and remind me to ask you just what was your little "engagement" later, okay?
Again, you can't help but feel that Rarity's text was somewhat pleading you to come first, and that Twilight is going through confusion and then curiosity. Nevertheless, the only places nearby, now that you got off the farm, is the Sugarcube Corner and the Carousel Boutique. Who to go to first..?   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
