It was late in the night as he drove down the highway in a horrible rainstorm. To make matters worse, the "low fuel" gauge flashed on the dashboard. He scanned desperately as best as he could for an open gas station. An open gas station however was out of the question, especially when he noticed a sign that read "Next gas 70 miles". Options and fuel running low he decided maybe he could knock on somebody's door and ask to borrow fuel. Except there didn't appear to be any homes nearby for miles, he was driving in a somewhat isolated part of the U.S.
A flash of lightning lit the sky, revealing a large mansion like home. "Come on baby don't die know, just a few miles." He said to his truck's sputtering motor. He managed to pull into the driveway, just as his motor died, out of fuel. Getting a look at the mansion up close now it had a creepy look to it.
"Well I guess I should see if anyone's home, or anyone even lives here." He stepped out of his truck into the storm. Reaching the front door, he knocked. After waiting a few minutes with no response he knocked on the door once again, this time the door opened. But nobody was there. Cautiously he stepped inside, it was dark but somewhat modern.
"Hello is anybody here?" He called out to no response, "I don't mean to intrude and I know it's late right now, but my truck ran out of gas and there isn't a gas station nearby."
With no response and it being so late, he was exhausted. Closing the door behind him, he noticed there was a large couch nearby with a blanket. He walked over, kicked off his shoes and laid on the couch pulling the blanket over him. In the morning he would walk to the nearest gas station, or maybe a neighbor lived close by. He got comfortable and fell asleep.
