A rough looking man stood behind the door. The man was on the shorter side, shorter than even Parker was, but there was something about this man that made him feel like he was looking up at a giant. The man was dressed like some sort of trucker or something. He wore a brown hacker over a yellow plaid shirt underneath, with faded jeans and a pair of heavy boots. He had a thick coating of stubble on his chin that made him look even more rugged, and almost animalistic.
"Hey kid, you Parker?" He asked.
"H-huh?" Parker stared at the man like a deer caught in the headlights.
The man growled. "Listen kid, I don't got all day to sit around and repeat everything twice. Now then are you Parker?"
Numbly he nodded. "Y-yes, I am."
The man have a sniff if his nose. "The names Logan, I'm here to pick you up and take you back to the school with me."
"You're a teacher?" Parker asked in surprise.
"Do I look like one?" he asked, and Parker flinched. Logan gave Parker one look and sighed. "Listen bub, I ain't gonna eat ya, so you might as well get used to me. Honestly why did Xavier pick me for his errand boy? Jean or even Beast would have made a better pick."
"I'm sorry." Parker said.
"For what? You didn't do anything wrong." He placed a hand on Parker's shoulder. "Listen, you didn't ask to be born a mutant, but it's not something you should blame yourself over. Your powers is a part of what makes you who you are, and you'll learn to accept that. At the school you'll meet tons of other kids who are goin' through the same thing, so cheer up alright?"
Logan's words made Parker feel better, and he began to ease up. Despite his rough and tough looks and behavior, Logan was actually a nice guy...maybe even a little attractive.
