The first things you saw were sneakers.
They weren't pink which was a huge plus in your book and while everybody could see them being made for kids they were nothing to be embarrassed by.
The shirts however were just that. Something that a girly girl would wear. Some had ponies on them, others hearts and one even had the word "Princess" printed on it.
"Mom, what were you thinking!? There is no way I could wear this!" you exclaimed trying to sound as manly as you could. Sadly it didn't work out this way.
"Oh come on Jazz, don't throw a tantrum because of some shirts. What do you think the shirts in the girl's section would look like?"
You wanted to respond but in this moment you saw what else was hiding in her bag - a skirt.
"A skirt? Why didn't you buy jeans? I'm not a girl, remember?"
"Right now you are and we do not know how long you will stay like this. Not a single person in the world will make fun of a 5 year old girl for wearing a skirt, so there's nothing to be afraid of."
"But ..." you tried arguing only to be interrupted by your mom.
"I understand that it's probably not what you were hoping for but I didn't know what would fit you in your new body. We are not as rich as Scrooge Mc Duck, so I can't just buy tons of jeans only to find out they are too tight.
A skirt was the most sensible since we won't run into those problems that way."
It's this or nothing, your mother made her point very clear.
You had no choice, reluctantly you tried on the new clothes. Even more to your dismay they all fit perfectly and your mom looked a bit proud.
"Seems like I was right in getting this stuff then, heh?" she said jokingly.
"Whatever, I will soon be back to my normal self"
"About that, I already called a doctor and we will be seeing him in two hours."
