"Well, I think that, you know, we should ru-oof!" Nyx fell to the ground in a daze, having tried to break through the stained glass window, but it was too strong. "Dang it, these windows are enchanted! Ugh! We can't break them unless we got it out of the windowsill first, and we don't have time!"
Nox looked at the filly Alicorn and gave a shrewd but slightly fearful smile. "Then we shall fight like cornered rats, and show these dragons the powers of our joined fury!"
A purple dragon with blonde hair laughed. "Hey, Garble, Look at this. They think their puny pony power's gonna get us. Huh huh huh."
The red one, Garble, laughed too, and took a step closer. "Well, that won't do them any good. We're bigger than them, what do they think they're gonna do?"
Nyx and Nox shared a look. "Know any attack spells, like magic weapons?" Nox asked. Nyx nodded. "Alright. Ice?" Another nod. "Good. Let's do it."
Both Alicorns spread their wings and started weaving their magic, trying to come up with something they hoped would be good for attack. With a dual cry, four scimitars made of ice and magic appeared in the air.
Nyx inspected the weapons as the dragons paused for a second. "Well, not exactly Sword of Dragon-Slaying, but I think it gets the point across." She then smacked Garble on the head with the flat of one of her swords, swinging the other one low to sweep his feet from beneath him. Nox took to the air in the fairly tall room, letting loose his scimitars at the purple dragon, its blonde hair getting clipped as he ducked out of the way of one blade, the other coming around to give him a faceful of ice.
The purple dragon slumped into Garble, who was already struggling to get out of the daze Nyx had put him in. "Ooohhh.... you ponies are gonna regret that..."
Thunk! With that, Garble slumped to the ground and laid still. Two of their numbers down, the last three dragons decided to fan out, letting the two Alicorns out of the corner.
Big mistake. WHACK! FWOK! CRUNCH! The last dragon fell to the floor, unconscious, and Nyx and Nox sighed in relief. "Hey, Nyx. Let's not do that again, alright?"
Nyx giggled and let her weapons disappear. "Yes, I think that it would be most unwise. Though, we should really get some help with these dragons. I bet Spike could take 'em somewhere to talk some 'dragon sense' into them."
Nox nodded. "Sure, I guess. How're you gonna get him, though? Want me to stay here and guard them?"
Nyx smiled and brought out a piece of parchment and a pencil. "I always carry some writing utensils with me, just in case something bad happens. And duh; I live with a dragon. I gotta know how to send him a message!" A quick note and a flash of emerald fire later, the two were once again faced with a sense of unease.
"So... since Spike's coming over for these dweebs, what should we do?" Nyx 'hmms' as she tapped a hoof to her chin.
"Wanna meet the Princesses?"
Nox shifts a little on his hooves. "Well..."
