Aphrodite worked her magic to amp up their jealousies, and separate them. The group split as she desired, leaving them easier to pick off, alone and isolated.
Brett headed along the long golden beach heading north. Burt wandered in the opposite direction heading south along the beach. He enjoyed the soothing sounds of the waves washing upon the sand. Gary headed inland hunting for the famous spas where Aphrodite's followers were meant to bathe and relax. Jack headed for the high-ground, knowing the temple was meant to be on the highest spot on the island. He headed constantly upwards. Sam just wandered, following his nose and whatever caught his fancy, just enjoying the scenery.
Each of them had their phone ready to capture and document any discoveries they made on the island. It was meant as a joke, after all, the cult hadn't been considered more than a myth for centuries... if not millenia.
