Chapter #5Agar.inflation by: Ëtalfni   "Agar.inflation?" You asked, reading the box cover aloud. "What the hell?"
"Yeah," Patricia beamed. "It's really cool. You know that game they're always playing on YouTube? The one where the little dots eat each other? It's kind of like that, except with inflation!"
"You lost me..."
"Me too," pipped in Kim. "Can't you ever pick a more normal game, Pat?"
"Oh, shut it. This is a cool game. Watch."
Pat opened the box and produced a small plastic jar with dozens of marble-like pills inside. The only thing else inside with the instruction booklet, which you grabbed and read aloud while Pat unscrewed the cap of the bottle.
"Agar.inflation is a game about getting as big as you can," you began. "Upon swallowing a pill, the game will begin. Each player will have twenty four hours to get as large as they can. What the hell?"
"Yep!" said Pat as you took three pills and handed one to Kim before offering you one. "Want to join in?"
"No thanks...I don't take weird pills."
"Suit yourself. Bottoms up, Kim."
Both girls swallowed the red drug at the same time as Pat set a timer on her cellphone for twenty four hours.
"Well, keep reading, Simon."
"Players get larger by deflating other people. Each person is made up of an essence of 'air.' Players who swallow the pills can drain any person of their air and take it for themselves, leaving the victim as a deflated pile of skin. Okay, this is weird."
"Is it?" Pat smiled before pouncing on you. You could do nothing to react as she clamped down on your lips with her own mouth, forming what felt like a kiss.
You tried to push her off of you, but began to feel very weak. Pat was sucking out the air in your lungs, though you could still breath somehow. When you finally pushed her off you, she was at eye level.
"What the hell!?" you shouted, realizing your clothes were now very loose on you.
"Whoa," Kim had been watching everything unfold from the sidelines. "We're all the same height now!"
Sh was correct. While normally 5'10, you now stood at Kim's exact height of 5'6. In addition, Pat had taken your height for herself making her appear even larger before your eyes.
"Well, I had to make it even, right?" said Pat. "You can do it too, Kim. Though you can't steal from me unless you're bigger than me."
"I get it..."
"So, what do you say? Let the games begin?"
You were now very curious to see how this game could end and if it was telling the truth about draining someone completely of their air. You kept the jar of pills at your side and decided to...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
