"Seven Days Ron! Seven Days!" Harry repeated the words from the page. They sat cross-legged on the polished wood floor. A blurred reflection stared back at them, mockingly. The book laid open in their lap with the full duration of the spell clearly noted. They had not quiet worked out how to stand, or really move at all. The best they could manage at the time was to sit up and awkwardly interlace their own leg with the other's.
Unlike how the spell's name implied, or at least not how Harry had envisioned when reading 'the curse of merger', they were akin to being two half-bodies stitched together down the middle. The right half was Harry, and the left half was Ron. They were a two-headed boy, a wizard with two heads. Harry was very much miffed about having to remain bound to his friend for seven full days.
Ron stammered, his face flush. "I... I didn't know this would happen."
Harry clenched his fist and narrowed his eyes. He bit back the words he wanted to say, realizing there was not point now. A shiver then ran down their spine when a familiar, haunting voice spoke.
"What have we here... Oh my..." Snape spoke as he came into view, his lips shifted into a crooked smile. "Half of the chosen one... and half of his friend."
Both Harry and Ron glared daggers at the potion professor but said nothing.
Snake knelt down and picked up the book that laid between in their lap. "A curse of merger... how fascinating." He snapped the book shut and gripped the binding tightly. "Potter... I still expect you to finish dusting the books of this section. Perhaps Weasley can help you." Still smiling, he strode away, taking the book with him.
