Ron plucked the book off the shelf just as Harry was about to speak.
"'Mione'll just tell us that we 'shouldn't mess with things we don't understand'. Ron grumbled, air quoting the last sentence as he holds the old, dusty book in his offhand. "Hey, we can at least test a few of 'em, right mate?"
"Much as I hate to admit it, you are right on that one Ron," Harry replied, massaging his temples. "Alright, we can test a few, but then we show it to Hermione. Deal?"
"Deal." Ron answers, placing his arm around the shorter boys neck as he smiles. "Let's go somewhere t' test this out, shall we?"
"Where though?" Harry asks. "I doubt we can just test it in the Common Room, we'll get caught for sure!"
"Oh right, good point." Ron mutters with a frown. "Uhh, how 'bout we test some here then?"
"That's just as bad Ron!" Harry scolded, smacking his friend upside the head..
"Oi, it's not like anybody's here right now!" Ron retorted sheepishly. "You've got your invisibility cloak, right? Even if somethin' bad happens, we can just use that, right?"
Ron then opens the book and starts flipping through random pages, skimming through sections until his finger lands on one of the old, dusty pages.
"See, how 'bout these ones?" Ron exclaimed. "Curses to prank your friends!"
He raised his wand and, before Harry could make a motion to react, a spell flew in Harry's direction, striking him dead on.
