This choice: An angelic lawyer appears, claiming the contract is void • Go Back...Chapter #12An angelic lawyer appears, claiming the contrac... by: Hole But before Flora could say what she wanted, a flash of bright light appeared beside the both of you. What appeared was a winged woman with a halo hovering over her head. She was clad in a white suit that clung tightly against her voluptuous figure.
"What the hell?" Flora yelled.
"Why hello you two. My name is Legia. I'm an attorney from heaven. I took notice of the contract that you signed with each other after you died," she said referring to you.
"So what? Mortals sign contracts with demons all the time. What the hell does mine have to do with you?" Flora asked.
"Well, because it seems that you've forgotten an important detail about the ownership of mortal souls once they die."
"Oh yeah? And what's that?"
"When a human dies, their soul is supposed to be judged on its fate after death. Therefore, his soul cannot be put under a contract of ownership when he dies."
"What?! When was that a thing?"
"Since the beginning of time."
"Wait," you say. "Does that mean I can go to heaven?"
"Well, depends on your judgement," Legia says. "If you were a good person in life, you can go to heaven. But if you weren't..."
"Then your soul goes straight to hell," Flora says. "Making it mine again," she says with an evil grin. "Alright angel, you take this poor soul to be judged. I'll be waiting for him to return."
"Oh, Thank you Flora! Have a nice day!" The angel takes you in her hands and with another flash of light, you're both in an empty white room.
"Well," Legia says. "I say you lucked out there, huh?"
"Lucked out? I'm just going to go straight back to that demon's hands! All you did was complicate the process"
"My my, be a little more grateful, will you? There's still the chance of you being judged worthy of heaven. And not to worry, because I'll be your defense attorney for your judgement."
"Wait, you mean like, I'm going to court for my soul?"
"Pretty much, yeah."
"Oh god dammit."
"Don't take the Lord's name in vain, that won't help with your case."
Legia restored you to your full body, so that you weren't just a head. After a lot of preparation, Legia takes you to the 'judgement chamber,' where all souls are tried for whether they'll go to heaven, hell, or purgatory. In the courtroom, you see various angels around, some dressed in suit similar to Legia, others dressed in white military uniforms and armed with swords, and one who is wearing only a loose robe and a blindfold. Legia explained that the blindfolded one is Justice, the judge who will be judging you.
Although one thing in the courtroom that caught your eye was... indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
