A proposition

...my uncles old friend, dressed in the finest of cloths. "Cecil, Is your uncle here?" the man asked.

I studied him for several moments before speaking, "Your the king's steward now, aren't you?" I asked, not unkindly.

"Aye, was it that obvious? How did you know?"

"Well, I'm pretty sure that the normal high class folk don't 'ave 2 large thugs following them. Come inside, quickly but casually." I said to him. He got a panicked expression on his face, but followed my instructions. I closed the door. "What do you want?"

"I came to see your uncle, but under the circumstances, I think you can relay a message. Just give him this satchel, I'm trusting you not to look inside, hide it in a safe place, until you uncle gets here. Now, I have to get going, please, keep it safe. Safe journ--" he didn't get to Finnish, there was a banging at the door.

"OPEN UP!" came a familiar voice...
