Jen Austin

It was a Friday morning in May and Jen did not want to get up for school. There was still a month of school left and she was ready for the summer. Jen groggily crawled out of bed and put her glasses on before she made her way to the bathroom. Her head was spinning and she felt way more tired than she usually did in the morning.

Normally, she would walk to school, but with her headache, maybe she would get a ride from her friend Evan across the street and tell him.

"Do you want to stay home or go in late?" Jen's dad offered. "I can call the school."

That was an option too. Jen thought about what she would do before deciding to...
