When Giles, Willow, and Xander stormed into the Summers house they didn't know what to expect. Vampires wouldn't be out in broad daylight like this. Demons might be, but everything felt normal. What they were not expecting to find was Buffy lying on the kitchen floor surrounded by discarded bags, cartons, and crumbs. She looked asleep but her breathing was heavy, which made sense considering how stuffed she was.
"Oh my god," Giles said softly as he knelt down next to her. They gathered that she had been eating, but no normal person could eat this much. No stomach, or the skin around it, could stretch as much as Buffy's had. She didn't look full, she looked pregnant. Her stomach towered over her, round and tight. There were stretch marks forming along her sides, and her belly button had popped out.
"What happened to her?" Xander asked.
"Did she . . . eat all everything?" Willow asked unbelieving as she looked at the empty cabinets.
"Buffy?" Giles said. He reached out a hand and touched her stomach. It was tight, painfully so, and her insides turned with a juicy gurgle.
Buffy's eyes shot open with a gasp, she grabbed her stomach.
"Ooh, that hurts!" she yelled. Giles yanked his hand away.
Buffy struggled to pull herself into a seating position, but only managed to do so halfway by leaning against the fridge. She blushed despite herself.
"Well, this happened," she aid simply.
"What happened?" Giles asked.
"I ate it all. Everything. I couldn't stop. I knew I was full, but I just couldn't. The only thing that stopped was that I think I-bwuuuurp-passed out," she moaned and rubbed her stomach. It hurt just to touch it.
"We should regroup at my house," Giles said. "Can you stand?"
Buffy tried. She gripped the cabinet and stood up, but the weight was too much. She felt the sides of her stomach straining, as though her stomach as going to fall out. She yelped in pain and sat back down.
"Oh no, I don't think . . . I don't think I can stand on my own," she said, her worry finally showing. "What's happening to me?"
"Willow, a little help," Giles and Willow lifted Buffy. She had to grip her stomach tightly.
"It feels like I'm going to explode," she said between breaths and burps, "Am I going to explode?"
"I wouldn't think so," Giles said as they moved her to the den.
"I think if this is a spell it's taking into account that you'd get this, ah, full," Willow said. "I think anyone who wasn't a slayer would have passed out from exhaustion before you did. So, um, yay for you?"
"Yeah, I'm real impressive," Buffy huffed.
"Who did it?" Xander asked.
"I think first we need to stop it," Giles said. Buffy's belly was gurgling and churning loudly. She winced in pain.
"I-I'm still hungry, guys."
"I think you've had enough," Willow said trying to lighten the mood.
"Willow and I will get the bottom of this. Xander, you clean up-"
"Oh, come on! really?" Xander said, looking at the mess. "I am in a stabbing mood, not a cleaning one."
"Xander, please just do it," Willow said. "And maybe leave a note."
"'Dear Ms. Summers, Daughter fat now. More news later,''" Buffy said with what breath she could muster. She took a blanket from the couch and wrapped it around herself as they passed. The last thing she wanted was neighborhood rumors about how Joyce's problem child got herself knocked up. Willow started to helpfully pull her shirt down somewhat, but Buffy yelped and pushed her hand away.
"It's too tight to touch," she said simply.
The three left Xander alone. He shrugged, and commenced to cleaning as well as he knew how.
"Lay me in the back seat," Buffy said, "Having trouble-uurp-bending in the middle right now."
They complied. The ride was comfortable for none of them. Every bump or turn of Giles' car caused her stomach to go into an uproar, and noises weren't pleasant for those just listening either.
"Don't worry, Buffy, we can fix this. You'll be good as new and not all stuffed in no time," Willow said, although she certainly looked worried.
"Oooh, I believe you but just hurry, okay?" she said, holding her belly as tight as she could. It was like her insides were struggling to get out, and the weight was causing her hips and back to ache even lying down.
