Slowly, you crouch down so that you are level with the creature. As you slowly slide your hand between the bars to stroke the feline, you notice that she is looking at your hand curiously, pondering on whether to trust you or not. You start to feel the felines soft, gray coat underneath your gentle hand. As you start to stroke her, you notice that her purring has gotten louder. You can now feel your hand tremble gently as the sound vibrates through the cats body. As you touch her head, you notice small tears in her eyes - tears of sadness.
You know this is upsetting you, to see such a beautiful creature undergo such a drastic weight loss because the human society believes that a thinner body is a better looking on is just plain cruel, and the animal is feeling very sorry for itself as a result. As you look around for some sardines or chicken legs for the cat, you realise that no food is stored here. But you cannot leave the barn now as you will lose your spot in the viewing list. You turn around again to see the cat staring at you with it's sad eyes begging for food, to become a cat again.
Thirty minutes pass as you contemplate how you are going to help this poor helpless feline stuck in the pen, when suddenly you come up with an idea. But you soon dismiss it as impossible and ridiculous... You stare at the beautiful carnivore lying in the pen next to you, her head resting on her front paws and her eyes gazing up at you, wondering what you are thinking. 'This may be the only way', you say to yourself, contemplating what you are about to do. You realise that you may be a satisfactory meal for the kitty next to you. Since your boyfriend cheated on you two weeks ago, and having no family to write home to, you know that you have not actually got a future to live for. You feel that you could sacrifice yourself so that the one thing you still love can live on in a happier life.
"Okay, my decision is made", you whisper to yourself, as you begin the preparations.
