You walk over to the rabbit's small open top cage and see that she is panting heavily, and just when you look in, a small baby rabbit slides out of her. With each pant, her belly, which is roughly the size of half a volleyball, bulges out and you can see small movements coming from within her womb. So now that you know that she is very obliviously giving birth, you decide to stay and make sure that she has her babies without trouble. See, you know the basics about rabbit breeding because you spent a summer taking care of your friend's rabbits. A short time later, the rabbit is apparently done giving birth because no more babies have came out of her for at least half hour, but you notice that the afterbirth has not came out. You know that if it does not come out, there would be a good chance of infection or other bad side effects, so you now have an importaint decision to make: reach in and pull out the afterbirth or let it alone?
