Chapter #2

Group of teachers

by: Mr. Scratch Author IconMail Icon
Summer holidays were over for a week now and the second school week was ending today. Henry Matthews was sitting on his seat in the teacher's lounge and let out a deep sigh. It was really hard for him right now. He just moved into city, got this job as a mathmatics teacher and was now simply overwhelmed with learning all the new names of his students and fellow teachers. He had no time to catch a breath.

"It seems like yesterday that I was back home and now all these new faces... This is just exhausting.", he thought as he leaned back. Right now he looked more like a bored student than a teacher.

Henry was 33 years old, recently divorced, had short, brown hair and glasses. Currently he was wearing a brown suit and a tie. He never felt comfortable with the casual look when teaching. It just made him feel as if he was just some guy in front of a class and not a teacher.

"You're looking tired.", said a voice suddenly from beside him. Henry nearly fell over because of surprise. He looked to where the voice came from and saw a beautiful looking hispanic woman. She had long, curly, black hair, C-Cups and was wearing a pink t-shirt and rather tight fitting jeans. Not as tight as those of some girls in the school. She was the youngest teacher with 29 years.

"You're... wait a minute... You're Manuela Sanchez, right?", asked Henry slowly. She nodded and smiled at him. "Yeah right.".

"At least one name I have learned.", he laughed and she joined his laughter. "Yeah, that's nice.", she replied. "You're Henry, right? You look exhausted.".

Henry nodded slowly. He was not sure if he should talk about his problems and decided not to. He did not want to bother her with his problems. "Yeah... It's quite exhausting. Just moved in my new apartment and now have to learn all the names and faces of the students as well as the other teachers.", he explained more than he really intended to. There was just something at her that made him want to tell her that.

"I see.", she replied and then stopped in thoughts only to ask him seconds later: "Hey, me and some other teachers's we're going to play a game later. How about you join us? To relax.", she suggested.

Henry thought about it for a moment and then shrugged his shoulders. "Why not? It might be fun. Also I'd get to know some of my collegues better. When and were going to meet?", he asked her.

"After school here in the teacher's lounge. We're normally the only ones left here on a friday.", she explained.

-----------------

Henry got through the day and was happy that it was over. The kids were really horrible to new teacher's and tried to tease him were ever they could.

"I just hope this will get better.", he sighed when he arrived in the teacher's lounge. She really was telling the truth. The lounge was like a ghost town except for the four people who had rearranged the tables so everyone could sit on one table.

"Ah, Henry.", smiled Manuela. "You're the last one. Come here, sit down.".

Henry nodded and walked slowly over to the table while looking at the other teachers and trying to remember their names.

On the left of Manuela was sitting a small man with brown-gray hair. He was chubby and wore a green vest, blue shirt and khaki jeans. His name was Theodore Anderson if Henry remembered it correctly. He was 42 years old and was teaching biology.

On Theodore's left sight was a red haired woman. She was 52 years old but still looked great. She had slightly sagging D-Cups. She was wearing a red floral-print dress. Henry could see that she had her nail painted in a matching red. Her hair was rather short, just covering her neck. Her name was Andrea Flemming if he remembered it correctly. She was teaching English.

Beside Andrea was a slim man with white hair. He was 53 years old. He was wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans. He looked skinny and his skin was crinkly. He was the husband of Andrea and called Edward. His subject was Physics.

Last but not least, there was a woman just beside Edward. She was tall, had blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail and looked very fit. She had B-cups. Henry remembered that she was the girl's coach. Signs of age were showing in her face with her age being 39 but she still looked like she could outrun most of the students easily. Her name was Erica Jameson.

Henry then sat down and looked at the others. "Soo...", he began nervously. "What are we going to play?".

Andrea looked at him and grinned broadly. "Oh, something very special. You see we have these incredible cards. We play with them every week for 3 years or so.", she explained and tried to make him curious. Edward meanwhile put a strange box on the table from which he got the cards.

"You see, these cards are special...", said Manuela and began explaining.
