Dr. Cockroach was enjoying the break. At least that's what Susan thought, as she listened to him cackle as he worked on the barbecue grill. None of the monsters believed he was cooking burgers or sausages.
The general had dropped them off, on the nuclear test atoll, in the middle of the Pacific, free from spying eyes, and realistic escape.
Link was sunbathing, and peeking past the edge of his sunglasses, still hopeful that if he looked just once more girls would magically appear. That he could impress with his surfing skills.
BOB was chatting up a jelly fish that had washed up on the beach.
Susan gave a contented sigh, as she took in the scene. Her head resting on her folded arms.
It was weird, but for her they were all as precious as family.
"Done it. I've Done It!"
Stepping back from the... well, it certainly wasn't a grill anymore. He performed a little dance, for a few moments. Until he noticed that he wasn't the centre of attention. Link lifted his sunglasses, and gave a disinterested glance in his direction. BOB was as ever oblivious.
Susan stepped up for her friend.
"Done what?" she asked, her voice chipper. There was always a sense of dread she prepared for, with his answers. Shielding her eyes, she tried to guess what it was that the baroque mess of pipes did. She missed butterflysaurus, even if just as a handy sunblock. But the general had confided in her, that he was just to big a flight risk.
