Harry lay slumped on a nearby couch. The shock of her new body, an unforeseen price for Hogwarts restoration. Nodding grimly to herself, it was a price she was willing to pay.
Still reeling from the change, she saw that Hermione was utterly unfazed by her new body. A dull, icy weight in the pit of her stomach letting her know this too was part of the price. Her burden was hers to bear.
"Wh...Where's Ron?" she asked.
"Ron..." Hermione asked blankly. "Oh.. Ronni!" realisation dawning across her features.
Hermione beckoned their friend to come closer. It was a vastly different Ronni who strutted forward, "Harri. Are you okay?" she asked solicitously. Her kindness and compassion clear in words.
As she bent low, giving Harri a spectacular view of a cleavage that rivalled her own.
It was clear that Ronni was equally oblivious to the price of Hogwarts' restoration. Harri was deprived of even that comfort and conversation.
She patted Ronni's comforting hand. Distractedly flicking open the 'Rulebook', confirming what she already knew. It was her name on the frontispiece. Harriet Lily Potter, no trace remained of Harry. An understanding deep in her bones, that if she tried to restore... him. Then the consequences would be dire indeed, and Hogwarts would probably collapse.
