"Now then, Ogress, since you haven't eaten any humans, you are free to walk around the village, though we'll be watching you."

The three men lowered their weapons in perfect sync, freeing Thulka from their grip. With her anger still blazing like a oil fire, she was tempted to strike the fools down now, but held back. There would be absolutely nothing to gain from such wanton violence. Still, the wizard's comments on her fat had bruised her titanic pride. Plans for revenge against the old geezer began to take form in her mind as she left the four behind, ducking into the safety of the nearby general store.

It was an unimposing little shop, its worn counters and shelves littered with ragged and damaged wares. Nothing of particular value seemed to reside within its walls, dampening her hopes for a big pay off.

"Anyone here?" she asked to the empty shop.

"Sorry about that, miss," a woman replied, popping up from behind a counter. She was a chubby girl, blessed with curly blonde locks.

"Ah," the shop-keep continued, "You must have been the one stomping around out there."

"Indeed, I like to make my presence known. Now then, are you interested in purchasing some of my loot?"

Thulka reached back into her satchel and tossed it onto the nearby counter, letting its glittering contents tumble into the open. It was a beautiful assortment of jewels and jewelry, worth hundreds of gold. An impressive sight; one that made the shopkeepers eyes go wide in pure awe.

"Woah, where did you get all this?"

"Not important. What matters is the price, woman."

"Straight to the point, eh?" she said as she examined the bounty laid before her. "Well, with all of this here, I could offer you... 800 gold?"

"Ha! Try 1500, at the very least."

"Sorry, ogress, but have you seen our village? You think I have enough on me for that? 1000 at the most."

Thulka turned to the nearby window, uttering an annoyed grunt. First she had been hassled and now she wasn't even going to get the full price for her items. Looking through the glass pane, Thulka noticed something she had missed on the way in. Chained to a post beside the shop was a great oxen, not unlike Enormous. Like most of the village, it was an old thing, more fat than muscle. Not the best pack animal around, but she couldn't deny that the thought of digging into him was making her mouth water.

"Say, is that your oxen?"

"Why yes it is. His name's Dusty; been mine since childhood."

"How about you give me a thousand and the oxen for the whole bag?"

The woman didn't even hesitate before shouting out her agreement.

---

Merely twenty minutes later and Thulka was standing outside the shop, once again astride her great ox companion. The poor thing nearly buckled under the weight, unfamiliar with the stress of being a pack animal.

"Easy there, Enormous the sixth. I just got you!" she said playfully to the animal. Tugging on his lead rope, the left the shop behind, intent on...
