You come in closer because this beast looks somewhat reptilian. The anthro had bright green skin and appeared to have bright pink feathers coming from its head down to its back. From the looks of the claws on its feet this was a dinosaur, a theropod, something that frightens you, because after all, no theropod dinosaur was an herbivore.
From the shape of the head, this dinosaur was a raptor. Even though it was gigantic, something told you that it wasn't as big as big as a T-rex. What it did have was thumbs with large and sharp curved claws. It was definitely a raptor, then you remember reading about dinosaurs and those big claws meant that it was in fact a mega raptor. In this case, it was an emphasis on mega, you didn't think even a dinosaur could be hundreds of feet tall.
But this raptor was sleeping. You let out a gulp and decide against your better judgement to move forward in front of the raptor's face to see that this mega raptor was in fact....
