Midnight Hunt

by: Michael Jackson Author IconMail Icon
It hadn't taken the creature long to leave the beach town behind and get into the woods, all the while enjoying the delicious struggling of it's dinner. The screaming had lasted nearly the entire night, and the creature was disappointed when it finally stopped. Though the gorgeous slice of suburbia it stumbled upon soon after was more than enough to make up for the loss of company. The stairs on either side of the home, the sprawling kitchen with its massive counters of marble. All sleeping quietly, unsuspecting of the monster lurking outside. And all it took for that creature to get inside, was the conveniently open window on the second floor of the west wing of the home. It was only a blink of the eye before the creature was up the side of the home and through the window.

As the creature slid
