You check the security surveillance footage and immediately after the family left, a woman who looked about 22 came in with a forklift and stole it. She had been staking out in a pickup truck the whole day. “Her skin looks amazing,” your Mom says, “and her tan line is incredible.”
“Let’s focus on the task at hand,” you say, “that woman is Michelle Anderson. She’s been after my inventions for years, but this is her first time actually stealing the original.”
You check the gps tracker that you installed in the machine and it comes up to an unoccupied warehouse. You and your Mom hop into her car and you drive to this warehouse. You and your mom agree that she will pretend to be you, because it is highly unlikely that Michelle knows of the body swap due to her staking out and there being no cell signal of any kind.
You pull up to the warehouse and your Mom starts to get nervous and she wants you to come too. “Well, if we weren’t swapped right now, I’d be worried sick and come with you so you have to act like me and do the same,” she says.
You walk into the warehouse and hear the forklift at the other end of the building, having just put down the machine. You see rows and rows and rows of Michelle’s copies of your machines, some failed and some successful. You finally get to the far corner of the warehouse to see the machine, and Michelle setting it up.
