You frowned at the crying boy in front of you. Sara was making you look bad.
No, you told yourself, John was making himself look bad.
...No, that was Sara alright. And she wasn't going to accept otherwise. You finally began to feel some guilt for trying to steal her identity.
"Awww, you're no fun, sis," you reluctantly said.
Sara whipped your old head upward and stared at you with a mix of a dozen emotions. "John?!"
"Yep, I'm John... or at least I used to be," you said.
"So... you were just pretending to be me?" Sara asked, beginning to sound angry. "You... you jerk! Why would you even do that!?" She threw her arms down in frustration, splashing water on your face.
"Because... because it's fun," you said, avoiding eye contact.
"What?" Sara said in a tone of utter disbelief. "But... you're supposed to be a boy! Are you telling me you're enjoying being a girl?"
"Well... yes! I-I mean, at least for a while, you know?" you said with a weak smile. "Come on, Sara, don't you think this is cool at all? I mean, doesn't it make you curious about what it's like being me? How about we try living as each other, just for a few days?"
The truth, of course, was that you hoped to stay as Sara for a lot longer than a few days, but she obviously wouldn't react well to that.
With a grimace, Sara looked down at her new male body, clutching her arm in another bit of jarringly feminine body language. You anxiously waited for her to say something.
