This choice: Someone offers to help them • Go Back...Chapter #4Someone offers to help them by: Unknown Raven and Chloe ran through the woods. The twigs were rough on their bare feet, but they were worried about more important things. After a few moments, they made their way out of the woods and their feet felt asphalt. Then they saw the bright glare of headlights.
"Look out!" Chloe said, but they were too startled and too slow to get out of the way. The car screeched to a halt in front of them.
"Are you alright?" the driver asked, getting out of his car. He was about their same age, tall and thin with dark hair. "I almost--oh my goodness!"
The two girls used their arms to cover their more intimate areas, blushing. "Yeah, that was close," Chloe admitted. "Hey, uh, could you give us a ride?"
The boy's eyes opened wide. "Yes!" he said eagerly. "Oh sweet mercy, yes!"
"No, I mean in your car," Chloe clarified.
"Oh. Well, sure, why not?"
Raven looked at her friend. "What? Are you sure this is a good idea?"
"No, but I don't have any others right now."
"Let's talk about this first," Raven said. They turned around, giving the boy a chance to admire their rears. "We don't even know this guy. For all we know, he could be a crazy person who will skin us alive or something."
"Oh, come on, Raven," she said. "Not everyone you meet is going to by pathologically insane. Besides, there are two of us and one of him, and the alternative is to keep wandering around here until we either get arrested or really do run into a crazy person."
Raven didn't like the idea, but she didn't have a better one either, so they got in the car. Raven sat in the back and Chloe took shotgun. It was unbelievable embarrassing to be naked with a boy (Allen, his name was, after introducing himself), but it was dark enough outside so he couldn't see much.
"So, where am I taking you?" Allen asked.
"Home," Raven said quickly. "I live closest, so let's go there first."
"Will you're parents be there?" Allen asked.
"Actually, yes," Raven admitted.
"Mine will too," Chloe said. "Man, if my mom finds out that I've been skinny dipping, she's going to start killing people."
"I have an idea," Allen said. "Why don't we go to my place? I don't live far, and my parents won't be back for a while. You can borrow some clothes and tell your parents that you just lost your shoes or something."
"Well, I can't come up with any better ideas," Chloe said, but along the dark road there, they ran into...  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
