Carter realized that there were a great number of questions in regards to how the program worked as a whole plaguing his mind. The most prevalent of which was in regards to what would happen when an exchange was initiated between an animal and a human. Would the human simply undergo a physical change to become said animal whilst still having the life that they have always lived? Would instead their minds be altered to believe that they are the animal while their body remains human? What if it was a mixture of the two? Carter knew that the only way to sufficiently answer these questions was to involve himself in the change, but he knew that he would need a larger sample size to account for any possible deviations. Knowing what he had to do, he filled the textbox on the left with a word that both include himself and provide the largest possible sample size: “Man”. But he had no idea what to do in regards to the animal, that is until he saw his leftover chicken quesadilla on his desk. He smirked at this and entered, “Chicken” into the textbox on the right. He was ready to begin his experiment, but he felt like he could take it further. So with this, he cleared text the the right textbox and entered a new word: “Hen”. Knowing the risk he was taking, he gulped, maneuvered the cursor down to the button, closed his eyes, and clicked.
