Chapter #3
The family Eats at home.
by: Unknown
"Dinners done! Come and get it!"
Bertha waddles down the stairs as fast as she can in her gym shorts and sweatshirt, and Hilda hesitantly walks down in jeans and a t-shirt.
They see the spread on the table.
Three deep-fried turkeys, four bowls of mash, two bowls of stuffing, six cans of cranberries, three pumpkins, four bowls of corn and butter, a bowl of gravy, and two hams.
Hilda sat down, and her plate (which was the size of a pizza) was already filled with at least ten pounds of food.
(Hilda doesn't know it, but her mother put a powder in her food to make her want to eat it)
