Ron yells at Hermione to 'get off his frien...

Harry and Ron were speechless at what Hermione just did. Is she really using Harry as a footstool?

"Um, Hermione? Didn't you say you were looking for a toad for someone?" asked Harry, trying to be polite about all this.

"I'm sure he'll find it soon, Harry, I'm just taking a break after all that walking. You don't mind do you?" replied Hermione.

"N-no it's fine" said Harry, partly after years of Dursleys putting him down and partly because there was just something about Hermione that made it hard to refuse her.

However, Ron wouldn't keep quiet about this. "Granger, get off my friend now."

"Friend? Please! I saw your older brother Percy on my way here and he told me a bit about your family and you. Your family is poor and you are the second youngest of your siblings. Harry, here, is very rich as he is the last Potter. If you want my opinion, you aren't his friend at all and are just after his wealth and fame. If you were really his friend, you would've kept quiet after Harry just said that it was fine that I'm resting my feet on him." said Hermione very fast.

"Is that true, Ron? Were you really after my money? Did you really only see me as the Boy-Who-Lived? If you don't see me as just Harry like Hermione here, then get out."

"Harry, it'll take some time for me to see as anthing but the Boy-Who-Lived-"

"Get out" interrupted Harry. "And don't talk to me again."

"Harry, are you really choosing between me and Granger and choosing her?"

"I believe Harry already made his point so leave and never bother us again" said Hermione. Hermione was ecstatic over this; with a little prodding, she got Harry to ditch Ron and stay with her. Ron then grabbed his belongings and left without another word.
