Walking down the cooridor, you allow yourself to become immersed in thought. At first, you can't help but wonder who exactly really is behind this last door, especially since one of the possibilities has now been eliminated. Then, you are sudden onset with relief that Merlan(still no relation to any wizards of legend) was now, for certain, not the one you would be apprenticing for. Certainly, not dealing with his attitude was a plus, but there was more to it than that. The way you figure, Merlan put you in far more danger of being discovered. Him being as up close and personal as he is, as you just experienced, he was bound to notice some difference in you that gives you away eventually, and with his attitude, you would be turned in within minutes. Jade would likely find out as well, but you would probably hold too much interest to him for him to turn you in and let you be removed from where he could observe you.
As for Henry, you guess that he would be far too lackadaisical to find out in the first place. And, as it turns out, that will be put to the test. Having reached the hall, you open the doors and step inside the chamber beyond them, only to be standing face to face with the biggest smile you have ever seen. Er... someone wearing the biggest smile you have ever seen, that is. It really is the best grin that you have come across, and it seems to be simply plastered across his face, seemingly taking up far more room than it should. It even seems to push his other features out of the way, what with how his eyes are squinted, almost to the extent of being closed. Though, even with so little of his eyes available for you to see, even those seem to be smiling towards you.
Aside from his face, the young man is wearing what, at first, and second, glance, appears to be a robe several sizes too big, with it's sleeves going far past where his arms end. The rest of it, however, seems to be tailored to his body perfectly, with the bottom only just above dragging on the floor and the body of it snugly matching his body. It's color is, aside from a few lines and symbols for asthetic purposes, is completely white. The pale color of the robe pales in paleness in comparison with the man's pale hair. He wears his hair rather freely, with a few strands going this way and that, but it lays flat in a bowl cut, for the most part. Its color is almost indescribable, as it would seem it be past bleached, with the most pure, white color you had ever seen. At first, you ponder how he created such a dye, before realizing that it wasn't dyed at all, but was his natural hair color.

All of these thoughts are suddenly interupted when he turns and notices you, spreading his smile seemingly even larger, if that was posdible in the first place, before him practically yelling out to you, "Hiya! Nice ta meet 'cha!" You stand, still in the doorway, with your mouth slightly agape, surprised at Henry Pluze, despite the rumors preparing you for him. Before you get a chance to recover and say anything in response, he practically skips over to you before continuing, "I'm Henry! I'm glad to see that you've gotten here about on time and hopefully without any trouble. That is, assuming you are who I think you are. OOH! Or, if you're someone who killed the person that I think you are and stole their place! Nya ha! That sure would be an interesting turn of events."
You quickly manage to regain atleast a piece your composure upon being called an imposter and muster up a reply. "N-no, sir. I'm Opal, here responding to a letter that I received about a potential apprenticeship, and was told upon arriving that you were the one to see about that."
"Nya ha ha! You're right about that. I figured that I may as well get an apprentice, bucause why not? All of the cool wizards are doing it! And you, from what I've heard, are just good enough, and flashy enough, to fill the spot. Interested?" Upon asking this, his smile lessens for the first time, looking much more like a normal face, but still never leaving his.
Besides taking note of this, you immediately respond, "Certainly! Yes, please. Just tell me what I need to do."
His smile pops right back onto his face. "Great! And what you need is a weapon to channel your magic through properly." He turns around, rolls one of his rediculously long sleeves up to his shoulder, seemingly only so he can hold his arm up and wave a finger around while he explains. "Every half-decent wizard, or mage, or any spell-caster has something to channel through. Merlan uses his 'ultimate staff' as he calls it, while Jade has a preference for polearms and spears. Given your current build, you'll want a really bulky weapon, like say, a tree trunk! Or, atleast a thick quarterstaff. You see, given the fact that you're sure to grow, you'll be better off with something you can grow into than something you're comfortable with now. You wouldn't want to be waving around a toothpick once you get all bulky, would you? Heh heh."
You decide on

You have the following choices:

*Pen*
1. A heavy quarterstaff.

2. A long two-handed greatsword.

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
