Naruto had been cleaning for a while now and Sakura's living room was spotless. While cleaning, he systematically took breaks to keep up with Sakura's laundry. During these "breaks" he would always make sure to take a big whiff of another pair of Sakura's panties and rub them in his face. His "breaks" made all the cleaning he was doing worth it. Naruto had actually separated all of Sakura's underwear so he could include at least one pair in each load he did, that way he would always have a panty to sniff.
He now had a fairly large pile of folded clothes sitting on Sakura's couch and decided to put them away in Sakura's room. As he entered her room he noticed a large cage sitting at the foot of her bed.
"I didn't know Sakura was getting a new pet." Naruto mused out loud. He noticed there was what appeared to be a box wrapped in orange wrapping paper on top of the cage. But Naruto paid it no mind, he had work to do.
"Maybe this is why Sakura is having me clean her house." Naruto pondered. "She doesn't want her new pet to be living in a mess like this. I wonder what she got... Based on the size of the cage she must have gotten a big dog like Akamaru."
Naruto continued pondering what Sakura's new pet could possibly be as he put her clothes away. He gave the cage one last thoughtful look as he exited her bedroom.

It was late afternoon and Naruto had been cleaning all day. While he was pretty exhausted, his hard work clearly paid off as Sakura's house was spotless. Naruto had finished all of her laundry, although he held onto the black thong he originally found. He knew she would kill him if she discovered that he took it, but he just couldn't resist. He couldn't get enough of the smell and feel of Sakura's thong.
The clock told him it was 5:45 so he had to get dinner started for Sakura. He was actually looking forward to this. His cooking abilities were one thing he didn't advertise. After living alone all of his life, Naruto had become quite an expert chef. He just hid that behind his obsession with ramen. Sakura would be so impressed once she had his dumplings.
Not that Sakura being impressed by him really made much of a difference, she was far out of his reach. She was so happy when Sasuke returned, even though it had been a couple of years and the two weren't a couple as far as he knew, it was only a matter of time until Sasuke and Sakura got together.
But Naruto pushed that thought from his mind. As long as Sakura was happy then he would be happy too.
