James felt like he had an absolutely massive headache as he soon felt sunshine rain down on his face. He felt like he had been trapped in that wierd black void for months. Maybe even years. That's how long it felt. Slowly but surely, his consiousness seemed to reenter his body. As he did, he heard some wierd things.
"Hey, I think she's waking up!"
"Fae, don't hurt her. She'll be pretty delicate after such an ordeal"
"Oh poo! I wanna see her right away!"
The voices were pretty loud. However, you soon felt whatever soft thing you were laying on suddenly get impacted, like someone jumping on it.
"Honestly Fae. Can't you be a little more responsible?"
"It's not that bad. See, she's waking up."
James had no idea who they were talking about. Surely, it wasn't about him. Slowly, his eyes began to flutter open, still somewhat blinded by the radiant sunshine. Soon enough, you blinked enough to see a small figure sitting on your face, with a face contorted in excitement and wonder.
It looked like a little girl, or perhaps a young teen. She was fairly small, not really into puberty yet. She had dark hair like the angel girl from earlier, although it was really short and very messy, like it hadn't been combed in a long time. She wore a violet short-sleeved dress that reached her thighs, a white long-sleeved shirt underneath it. A dark purple vest with some elegant characters adorned her chest and kept the dress close to her body. Her bright eyes were alight in excitement.
"She's awake!" screeched the girl, making James wince a bit.
"Fae, that's enough. Calm down and let me show her what she looks like now" came another voice. James slowly turned his head and saw the girl from earlier, although he didn't see her wings. She slowly approached him, a small mirror in her hands.
"I'm sorry, but it all we could do" she said somberly. She brought the mirror up, showing James his appearance.
