A friendly conversation.

Charity took a seat next to Eton with Lea taking a seat on the other side of him. "Please allow me to enlighten you on a few pointers, Eton." said Charity, kindly. "First, it's not necessary to always add 'by rite of rebirth' to your name. Merely saying Prince Eton, you state your standing and your different colored eyes give the status of your rebirth."

"I used to have blue eyes." said Eton. "Why did that change to brown?"

Charity smiled. "All parts of the rebirth are random." replied Charity. "You could have come out of it a girl like Lea or a man, or a woman with any combination of traits and eye colors that exist in the royal family." she gave a low giggle. "I take it Myrrh did not explain Misterian clothing to you."

Eton shook his head. "Um... no, she dressed me quickly then off we went." he said. "I saw that everyone dressed pretty much the same so I didn't question it."

"Well, there are subtle differences." explained Charity. "The toga like... dress, I think you call them, wraps around the body and is secured by a single clasp at the shoulder. Boys wear the clasp on the right while the girls wear them on the left, more as a tradition than anything else."

"What do we wear when we sleep?" asked Eton, curious.

Lea giggled, finding it amusing that Eton knew so little. "Boys and girls just wear panties and a 'night skirt'." she said. "We don't wear any tops to bed, not even a bra."

Eton turned another shade of red as he remembered Myrrh putting him in a training bra. She did it so quickly, it was a blur to him. "The lines between genders seem very blurred here." he said.

Lea giggled again. "You have a lot to learn." she said.

"As do you, Leala." scolded Charity, smiling. "Judge not less thee be judged yourself."

"Mommy!" said Lea, blushing. "Must you use my full name?"

"When you misbehave, yes." replied Charity. she then turned back to Eton. "Males and females here are equal on many levels but there are lines that separate them we just don't believe in etching those lines in stone, so to speak."

Eton nodded, understanding. "Thank you." he said. "Is there anything else I should know?"

"I think I should allow your mother to cover the rest." she said. "I have already stepped a little out of line telling you what I did but you needed to know."

Just then, a section of the wall vanished, bringing sounds of the kitchen as Myrrh returned, the wall reforming behind her. She smiled, seeing Charity and Lea, sitting with Eton. "Ah, I see you've already made some friends." she said. "It's a good thing I had a lot prepared."
