"W-Wait! My grandmother?!" yelled a surprised Tyra. Myrrh had included her in this but for what reason? Myrrh looked at Tyra.

"Well, when mother saved your life, it reshaped you into a member of our family. Basically, you became my daughter" explained Myrrh. This confused Tyra even more.

"Your daughter?!! How can that be?! You're not any older than I originally was!" Tyra responded in slight frustration. To her surprise, Myrrh started giggling. "What's so funny?" she asked.

"How old do you think I am?" asked Myrrh with a smile, as if this was a game. Tyra almost thought it was a trick question.

"Well, I imagine around 20 years or so, a little younger than I was before" she answered. However, this got Myrrh giggling even more. "Ok, what's the joke?!" yelled Tyra, angry at her 'mother' for teasing her.

"To the human eye, I may look around 20 years old. I'm actually 485 years old" said Myrrh. To say Tyra was shocked would be the understatement of the century.

"W-What?! How can that be?" asked Tyra, begging for an explanation.

"We Misterians live between 2500 and 3000 years. For a while, we age normally like humans. However, once we reach young adulthood, we stop showing almost all signs of visable aging for a long time. We start showing a little more age once we hit 1000 years" explained Myrrh. Tyra slowly nodded in understanding.

"So, when I reach my 20's, I'll stop aging as well?" she asked. Myrrh smiled.

"Yes young lady. Enjoy it for the next millenium" said Myrrh with another giggle. This actually got Tyra laughing as well.

"So, is there a 'daddy' too?" asked Tyra. Myrrh shook her head.

"Nope, I do have a mate yet" she responded.

"Mate?" asked Tyra.

"Misterians don't marry like humans do. We mate for life, similar to animals in your world. We have a mating season which I will explain to you later. That's the only time when we can mate or become pregnant" explained Myrrh.

"So, you're 485 years old but don't have a mate?" asked Tyra. Myrrh nodded.

"I don't think I'm ready to be in a commited relationship now. I'm happy right now and I haven't met the 'one' for me yet. I'm not even 500 yet so I'm not in a rush. You may find yourself in that situation sometime. You have all the time in the world to mate. Just enjoy life as it comes. That's how Misterians think" said Myrrh.

"One step at a time huh? I like how that sounds" said Tyra.

"Well, case and point, I'll have to take care of you know. I know it will be hard but, like it or not, I'm your mother from now on. So, you better get used to it" said Myrrh, trying to act like a mother would. Too bad the look on her face gave away from the fact that she was acting.

Tyra however was unsure. It was too much in too little time. Time would be needed to adjust.
