"How did I become a girl!?" asked James, her voice panic filled. "What happened to me!?"
"Be at peace... Tyra." said Myrrh, calmly. "As I explained, there is a certain randomness involved when we use our magic to rebirth a human into a Misterian."
"Why couldn't she have just healed me, left me human?" asked James, frightened. "How am i going to explain this to my family, my friends...." he paused. "What did you call me?"
Myrrh winced. "I know this is all a bit of a shock to you." she said. "Had we done nothing, you would have died and neither I or my mother know how a human body works, this was your best chance to live." she then sighed. "As for your previous family and friends, you are Tyra now, James is... (gulp) ...dead."
"You mean... I can't go back?" asked James, now Tyra. her lips quivered. "What have you done to me?"
"I am sorry, Tyra." said Myrrh. "I could not just stand idle by as you slowly passed away, in my arms..."
Tyra sighed, a turbulence of emotions running through her head. "So what now?" she asked. "I don't know how to be a... Misterian, let alone a woman."
"I can help you, adjust." offered Myrrh, stepping closer. "The rebirth process made you my biological sister as you were rebuilt, reborn, from a piece of my mother's essence."
"Okay... sis." said Tyra, tears falling. "How can you help me cope with losing everyone I knew, everyone I loved...."
Myrrh answered by pulling her new sister into a warm hug and began to cry hysterically as Tyra then suddenly saw her old self, through Myrrh's eyes, sacrifice himself to save her and felt her sorrow as he was shot and fell to the ground before she lifted his head into her arms. A chorus of wailing tears filled the room as the two sisters shared a moment of mourning and loss....
