Hide and Seek

I've played this game of hide and seek
to find you there where words won't speak,
to calm your heart with a gentle touch,
to embrace you with "I love you much."

... I have played this game of hide and seek,
to find you there with no words to speak,
to see your eyes and find your heart
to be just there to be a part.

To spread my wings and sing of things,
to show you true that the skies are blue,
to ripple the warmth of my innermost self
from the deepest of trenches to the spaces I delf,
to reach for the stars and give you that view
a-dragonback soaring experienced by few.

I would play this game of hide and seek
where I would find you hurting and weak,
to be there beside and in you confide
to give you my hand so you would once more just stand,
and hold you so close as muzzle and nose
with my neck against yours, beyond untamed strange shores,
where the wind can just sing about the beauty you bring,
when I opened my heart where did you start?

I had played this game of hide and seek,
found you here, to rub your cheek,
the color of your eyes like that of the sunrise,
the smile on your face like the stars there in space,
the touch of your skin like velvet to men,
in my arms there your heart, oh, where did this start?
