"This is so boring!" Rika exclaimed, laying on her room's floor. There was a variety of Digimon trading cards laying around her.
"What is, Rika?" asked her vulpine partner, appearing from the shadows.
"This! There's no enemy, no bioemergences, no anything!" Rika picked up a card from the floor,"Playing the game and making new decks is just not what it used to now that I've seen the real deal."
"Should we go ask one of the others for a sparring match?" Renamon suggested.
Rika left the card down,"Nah, Brainiac will say no, Gogglehead is working at the bakery, and don't even mention Ryo!" she replied.
"I'm just so bored..." Rika stared off into space for a few seconds before getting up. "I'm gonna get a snack; I think grandma was making some of those chocolate cookies of hers." With that, Rika left her room.
As she approached the kitchen, Rika started salivating at the sweet aroma of her grandmother's chocolate cookies. Rika wouldn't admit it to anybody, probably even to herself, but she loved chocolate, she just couldn't resist it. As part of her tough girl attitude, she had decided sweets weren't for her, and even though she really enjoyed them, more than once she had refused them to keep up her image. Of all these sweets, chocolate was clearly the king.
Rika opened the kitchen door. "Ah, Grandma, you're making cookies?" Rika tried to sound surprised.
Her grandmother's lips formed a knowing smile,"Yes Rika, they are just ready, take a sit and help yourself." she replied while opening the oven to produce a tray full of at least two dozen cookies.
"Well, I'm not one for sweets, but since you just made them..." Rika said, taking a sit.
Now what?
